Courses About us

Combined Skills Training Association

Combined Skills Training Association Inc (CSTA) is a locally owned and operated Electrical Industry Training Organisation.

Yes we are still training people!

During this time of uncertainty, we are committed to providing our students with electrical industry training that is relevant and up-to-date. As most of our course participants are experienced, time-served electrical tradespersons, training focuses on course delivery under the principles of Adult Learning. We are still providing face-to-face learning, while following stringent hygiene and government guidelines, and we are developing online training options to go live in the coming weeks.

COVID-19

The CSTA is an Electrical Industry Training Association, therefore we know how imperative it is to ensure that the safety of our participants and staff is maintained.

The CSTA is closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 guidelines, and therefore we are taking the necessary hygiene, social distancing and other precautionary measures in order to protect the health of all our participants and staff.

Consistent with advice from the Australian and State Governments, our training facility is still operating and training will continue.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Guidelines were developed using Social Distancing Guidance from the Department of health (DoH).

The CSTA premises are conducting courses within the constraints of social distancing and minimum space requirements. We have also reduced our class participant numbers to comply with the restraints.
Signage has been put in place to instruct and remind participants to adhere to the regulations and use common sense.

SANITATION

Participants and staff are to wash their hands immediately they enter the premises each time and wiping them dry on paper towels. Hand sanitisers have been provided at multiple locations for staff and participants to use. We have also increased comprehensive cleaning throughout the premises and on the equipment within the premises.

The CSTA lobbies are being constantly sanitised to further reduce risk.
Disposable gloves have also been made available to participants and staff for use to minimise risk.

BREAKS

The CSTA have placed chairs at suitable distances for participants to sit in the kitchen seating area if they wish to do so or can sit at their desks we also encourage them to take some time outside. We are also limiting the number of students accessing the kitchen facilities to 2 at a time.

The CSTA also requests participants to fill in the COVID-19 Declaration before entering the training room.
